This petition to be sent to the Scottish Government.
January the 18th 2013 my good friend David O’Halloran, 18 years old, disappeared after a night out with friends where he was very drunk then tossed out of the club in just a t-shirt and jeans in snow and icy conditions (and in Scotland in January it’s seriously dangerous). Three months later, 18th April, his body was found. Now I don’t know if you’ve ever lost a friend before but it hurts. Someone that you chose to be friends with torn away from you much too soon.
Now, while some will say how much you drink is your own responsibility, this petition is to appeal to the government to take a look at the current laws and asks to change them so that clubs and pubs can no longer get students shit faced drunk and then toss them out onto the streets without a care in the world. Even if it requires hooking up with a taxi service or something. Now I’ve seen petitions for a lot less get thousands of signatures and I know it’s only Scotland and doesn’t effect you but please, it can help save lives. Please, please sign, it only takes 30 seconds and if you don’t want to then if you could just reblog and pass this on I would be very grateful. Thankyou <3
Not normally this blog’s topic, but this needs to be spread like crazy. Internet privacy is a big fucking deal, and 83 notes on this as I reblog this is pathetic.
Tuesday’s Prompt: Summer means ice cream
The weather is so hot.
I’m not sorry.
